Why I Started Working at Millshots/ Who Am I?
By: Kennedy Wilson
Many of you probably know who I am or have spoken to me on the phone at one point if you have called to book a session, but if not… allow me to introduce myself! My name is Kennedy Wilson, and I am the Office Manager here at Millshots Photography. I started working here about a year ago, but only as a part time poser for our fall daycare season. I originally saw the job posted on Facebook, and I immediately thought that it would be the perfect fit for me. I grew up around photography, my dad had done it professionally for 13 years before deciding to retire from the photography world. I was so used to being in a studio, and working around the equipment, as well as being familiar with the software’s used such as photoshop. A couple weeks into the daycare season Mandy and Bart asked me to come to the studio to do some post processing for the daycare pictures, nervously I answered yes. I then quickly learned how to operate daycare season with ease and was in the studio most of the week, after daycare season had ended Mandy and Bart asked me to stay to run the office. I was shocked but knew that there was no better job for me, Mandy and Bart have become so much more to me than my bosses and I thank them so much for giving me the opportunity to do something that I love. That’s my story on how I started working here at Millshots, but here is some information to help you get to know who I am a little bit more. I am currently working on getting my bachelor’s degree from Fayetteville State in business administration, in the Army Reserves, married to an amazing man Seth who is stationed here at Fort Bragg, we are expecting our first child… literally any day now! I am originally from Greensboro, NC, I attended high school and college there before meeting my husband and moving to Fayetteville. So that is my background, but where do I see myself in a couple years? I plan on growing with Millshots and sticking around for years and years to come, I have enjoyed watching this business thrive and flourish and I cannot wait to see what the next couple of years has in store for all of us here at Millshots!.
